About Me

Traveling isn’t just for the rich. Five years ago, making just $34,000 a year in my first full-time job out of grad school, I made a commitment to see as much of the world as possible before I die. I was broke and had no idea how I was going to be able to do it. Since then I’ve grown to be a pretty savvy traveler, finding jaw-dropping deals. I’m not a nomad, a vagabond or a backpacker circumnavigating the globe. And though I do only travel with my backpack (does that make me a backpacker?), I prefer hotels to hostels and trains to hitchhikes. I just do it at a fraction of the cost.

Above all, this blog was created to share my own travel experiences and expertise with you in hopes that you, too, can live life half full.
